A more advanced class may be offered on Friday morning for those who want to learn more or work on technique.

Back for 2008 :  36 Campers will play a scramble on Friday, September 19th at the Copper Creek golf course near the East Village.  We added this event for all the "real golfers" that want to get out and have fun scramble play.  Be sure to register for the 36 spots TODAY!

Psyche Hike™ led By R. Audrey Boxwell, PhD

www.audreyboxwell.com

Psyche Hike™ is a chance for women to rejuvenate, reawaken, and restore mind, body and soul. Through the powerful integration of exercise and meditation, Psyche Hike™ is a hiking meditation in a beautiful outdoor setting that enhances physical, mental and spiritual well-being. It is especially effective for those who want to meditate but struggle with sitting still! With our minds silenced, we can take in the outer and inner world with a deep awareness. Hikes are not strenuous. Each hike begins with a theme and personal intention--and through hiking, meditation, journaling, and sharing (optional), we can tune into our essential selves, gain new insights, and experience the underlying unity and oneness of all life and our part in it.

Come listen to the music that plays within your heart-the songs that long to be heard!

Each participant will:

Keep the silence as a way of staying centered on oneself and for creating a space for personal insights that emerge from a soul level

Experience increased clarity

Notice the shift of priorities—how the importance of things shift subtly

Have the opportunity to listen to the still small voice within

Experience “mindfulness;” (moment to moment non-judgmental awareness of the present)

Find hidden reservoirs of strength and courage

Sarah Michel, CSP

In the 21st century your success will be based on the people you know. She will show you the importance of each of these stages and the questions you need to be asking to assure a strong connection. Walking to the Grand Canyon

Rene Marie

This workshop incorporates the six verses to my spoken-word piece, "walking to the grand canyon".  I wrote the piece shortly before packing up and moving out of a life situation that I realized was the antithesis of where I wanted to be.   This was the first move I’d ever made where the sole consideration was myself (What I wanted/didn't want.  Where I wanted/didn't want to live.  How I wanted/didn't want to live.) and myself only - not my mother, sons, fans, record label, siblings, friends, manager, booking agent.  I was prepared to risk it all in an attempt to find within myself that which I instinctively knew was there.

Using my piece as a guideline, you will be encouraged to write your own 6 verses about losing and reclaiming herself on the way to the Grand Canyon.  You will also learn the chant I composed to accompany the piece.

Your cynicism will dissipate. You will laugh, you will cheer and most of all you will never see the media the same again and you will produce tangible results

Friday, September 19th, 9:00 am -10:30 pm

Leadership Track: Lead!!

Pam Shipp

“In politics, if you want anything said, ask a man- if you want anything done, ask a woman.”
                                                                                                                          -Margaret Thatcher-

Thatcher’s quote is half right half wrong…yes women can get things done but they can get it said too! This workshop will focus on what women say about themselves, specifically their ability to be creative and innovative while remaining authentic to their call to leadership. A woman’s creativity defines her special talents for leadership.

Come and assess your creative style and how your style impacts your ability to lead.  Unlock your personal power.  Each participant will take a quick survey, Kirton-Adaption Innovation Inventory© (KAI). The Kirton-Adaption Innovation Inventory uncovers your preferred style for solving problems, improving communication and effective team work.

Success Skills:Learning to Ask

Caroline Turner

Authors tell us that “Women Don’t Ask” and that women are held back by “self-imposed career blocks.”  This workshop goes to the next level, addressing first, how women’s wiring causes us not to ask and to hold ourselves back, and more important, WHAT do we DO about it?  In this workshop, you’ll look at ways to get better at:

Asking for what you want

Taking credit

Taking time away from the office to network

Investing in yourself (e.g., charging your business or paying for networking events and personal development work)

You’ll gain a greater understanding of why women are sometimes our own worst enemies and work with real-world scenarios to help you choose whether and how to ask.

Creative Thinking:  Open the Gate, I’ll Show You the Way

Holly Stiel

When Holly Stiel, professional speaker and corporate trainer, bought a house on the Northern coast of California in 2002, she was amazed to discover a small white gate at the edge of her forest that led to a path overgrown with witch’s butter mushrooms, the hulls of ancient redwoods, scotch broom, and dragonflies.  She felt an enchantment there, in the silence, the fog, and red orchids that she had not known since childhood. After teaching all over the world, Holly became the student of a six-year old girl who guided her through her own backyard.   She received instruction in the flights of fairies, the customs of pixies and listening to the wisdom of the earth.  By being willing to play and enter the fantastic, Holly discovered that the imagined world becomes real and your real world becomes what you can imagine.

Eager to share this powerful message, Holly created a mystical tour through the grottos, groves, ferns and creeks of her property that leads visitors on the path to self-discovery. She will entertain you with the humorous process of enlisting local artists, day laborers, indigenous materials and surly neighbors in the creation of a real fairy path. With photographs, exercises and a little fairy dust, for the first time ever she brings the path to you. Holly will guide you through an inspiring practice of manifestation through visitation of actual locations on the path: the Gratitude Circle—Giving Thanks, the Moss-covered Stump—Taking care of Yourself, the 1,000-year old Ballroom--Intentional Dreaming, Hitting the Goat Wall-Overcoming obstacles, Listening to your Heart, Befriending the Dark Place, the Valley of the Ferns—Personal Responsibility, the Tree of the Three Sisters—honoring family, and the Crystal Path of Friendship. If you are tired of just reading about The Secret and The Laws of Attraction, undertake a physical journey of giving and receiving that will enact change in your life. If you want to manifest your dreams, come learn from a woman who has. After 90 minutes you will discover that the real magic is not in fairy tales but in actualizing what you have inside yourself.  Once you open the gate, you will be amazed at where your path will take you.

Creative Thinking:

Cynthia James

People today are actively seeking purpose and most of us are looking for it outside of ourselves. We are looking in relationships, in jobs or careers, we are looking to be validated by something out in the world that says we are enough, we are powerful, we are dynamic. But learning to soar, means understanding that you already have everything that you could possibly need to live a full, enriched, powerful life. There are five portals through which you must step to soar:

           Moving beyond our limitations

         Daring to take risk

         Tapping into our full potential

         Coloring outside the lines

Stepping outside of the boxes of life that hold us hostage
