Fly Fishing: Char Bloom

Psyche Hike: Dr. Audrey Boxwell

Self Defense for Women

Organic Cooking by Chef Shellie Kark

Fly Fishing led by Char Bloom

www.charbloom.com

Did you ever wish you could cast away your cares….ever want to net a dream?  You can do these things when you step into a river or lake with a fly rod in your hand and a desire to look into the eye of a beautiful rainbow trout.  During the two and a half hour introductory clinic, you’ll learn how to tie on a fly, identify aquatic life and cast your line.  When you catch your first fish, you’ll both be hooked. A more advanced class may be offered on Friday morning for those who want to learn more or work on technique.

Psyche Hike™ led By R. Audrey Boxwell, PhD

www.audreyboxwell.com

Psyche Hike™ is a chance for women to rejuvenate, reawaken, and restore mind, body and soul. Through the powerful integration of exercise and meditation, Psyche Hike™ is a hiking meditation in a beautiful outdoor setting that enhances physical, mental and spiritual well-being. It is especially effective for those who want to meditate but struggle with sitting still! With our minds silenced, we can take in the outer and inner world with a deep awareness. Hikes are not strenuous. Each hike begins with a theme and personal intention--and through hiking, meditation, journaling, and sharing (optional), we can tune into our essential selves, gain new insights, and experience the underlying unity and oneness of all life and our part in it.

Come listen to the music that plays within your heart-the songs that long to be heard!

Each participant will:

Keep the silence as a way of staying centered on oneself and for creating a space for personal insights that emerge from a soul level

Experience increased clarity

Notice the shift of priorities—how the importance of things shift subtly

Have the opportunity to listen to the still small voice within

Experience “mindfulness;” (moment to moment non-judgmental awareness of the present)

Find hidden reservoirs of strength and courage

Organic Cooking with Chef Shellie Kark

www.KitchenCue.com

Cooking is the essential life skill that allows you to eat healthy and live well! This adventure will take you where you have never been before – understand organics, why it is important to support it and how we manage it on a budget; learn how easy cooking can be when you have some professional techniques under your belt and understand the power of a well stocked pantry.
As we launch in to the fall and winter months, soups are an affordable and delicious way to bring a homemade meal to the table. They freeze well and satiate within minutes when served with a crusty bread and salad. From an elegant roasted red pepper purée to a hearty minestrone, soups allow you to be frugal, creative and wise with your time and energy.
We’ll prepare three different soups varying in style, flavorings and ingredients but all using the same process. We’ll taste, commune and laugh together and you will leave inspired to do more!
