Women’s Organizations as Marketing Partners

Colorado top women’s organizations are supporting CampExperience™.  They include:

Women's Vision Foundation
www.womensvision.org
Vision: “The Human Spirit Thrives in the Corporate World”

Mission: Our mission is to establish enlightened women as leaders in corporations.

We do this by preparing women leaders who are catalysts for visionary, enlightened, and ethical leadership, resulting in corporate profitability, empowered employees, and responsible citizenship.

Our Core Values:

  • Living the Vision
  • Open sharing of wisdom and creativity with members and the community
  • Providing quality and substance in all we do
  • Making and keeping commitments
  • Being an inclusive, affectionate, fun loving group

Welcome to our unique corporate women's organization. Our members have at their fingertips a wide range of Leadership Programs, Networks, Resources and Volunteer Programs to leverage for managing and capturing their career goals.

The Women's Vision Foundation is emerging as a nationally-recognized leader in information, education and support for corporate women. Its goal is the evolution of organizations for the benefit of all. The Foundation isn't just about equality. It's about what we can add synergistically to make our corporations better places for women and men to devote their lives.

Currently, talented women are fleeing top jobs because they are burned out or tired of retrofitting into a predominately patriarchal system. Opening minds to the countless benefits women bring to corporations will open doors as well.  Today's businesses are designed (structures, rewards, strategies, etc.) from a single perspective - the masculine. For women to be an effective and integral part of the corporate landscape, their perspectives need to be incorporated into the current structures.

The Women’s Foundation of Colorado:  Think big. Be bold. Make change.
www.wfco.org
The Women’s Foundation of Colorado’s mission is to build resources and lead change so that the women and girls of Colorado are full and equal participants in society. Our Goal is that every woman in Colorado is economically self-sufficient, and every girl in Colorado is on the path to economic self-sufficiency in adulthood.

The Women’s Foundation of Colorado is committed to five areas of focus: Research, Education, Public Policy Reform, Grantmaking, and Fundraising. In 2007, we will invest over $1,000,000 in Colorado’s women and girls, with about $750,000 in grants throughout the state, both to the non-profits working directly with women and girls, and to organizations that are changing the public policies that create barriers to success.

  1. Research ensures we have the most current data and statistics available to the public.
  2. Education ensures other stakeholders are made aware of the research we commissioned and the issues facing low-income women and girls.
  3. Public Policy Reform changes the systems that create barriers for women to become economically self-sufficient by enacting laws that mitigate these barriers.
  4. Grantmaking supports nonprofits working directly with women and girls.
  5. Fundraising—each year we raise over $700,000 to continue our work on behalf of Colorado’s women and girls. This is all made possible by your generous support.

Pikes Peak United Way

www.ppunitedway.org

Pikes Peak United Way exists to mobilize and grow the caring power of the Pikes Peak Region.  We bring the public together to determine and prioritize critical human needs, and provide the leadership to mobilize resources to address those needs.   We are a powerful force behind such local initiatives as the 2-1-1 Information and Referral (our 3-digit, free information service), Homeward Pikes Peak (addressing homeless issues in Colorado Springs), and Southern Colorado Make A Difference Day (bringing over 3,000 volunteers together over a weekend to create significant improvement in people’s lives).

We focus our support in the areas of Helping Children and Families Succeed, Increasing Self-Sufficiency, and Improving Health and Wellness.  Pikes Peak United Way is saving lives in these areas by funding agencies and programs crucial to the lives of women of all ages.  Among the 42 partner agencies we support are Partners in Housing; the Colorado Springs Child Nursery Center; T.E.S.S.A. (formerly the Center for Prevention of Domestic Violence); Child and Youth Development at the Urban League of the Pikes Peak Region; Community Partnership for Child Development (Headstart); InterCept and self-sufficiency programs at the Women’s Resource Agency.

Pikes Peak United Way  appreciates that women create sustainable community change through their dedication to family, work and community, and philanthropic leadership.  Women are central to our success!

The Alliance of Professional Women Foundation

www.apwcolorado.org

The Alliance Foundation was founded by members of the Alliance of Professional Women in 1994.  The mission of the Alliance Foundation is to improve the status and qualify of life for women and girls by helping them achieve economic self-sufficiency and economic independence.  To support the Foundation’s mission, we have created a local and international giving program.

Locally, the Alliance Foundation grants annual scholarships to women to attend local colleges and universities.  We believe that education provides a pathway for women to become economically self-sufficient.  Each year we offer scholarships to students who attend the Women's College of the University of Denver, Metropolitan State College, and the University of Colorado at Denver.

Internationally, we embraced microfinance as a means to help women achieve economic self sufficiency.  Microfinance is the practice of extending small, uncollateralized loans and other support to low-income people, primarily women, to help them start or expand a business.  This program is targeted at the most vulnerable among the female population – women in poverty who live on less than $2 a day.  Historically, women have used these tiny business loans to lift their families out of poverty in less than three years. The families experience lower fertility and infant mortality rates, improved health and nutrition, higher immunization, fewer incidents of domestic violence, enhanced self-esteem, and greater involvement in community affairs.
