Join US: Women Helping Women
One of the experiences that enriches our lives is to truly help others. CampExperience is designed for the Campers and teachers to recognize the needs for safe housing and family support services and to respond to help other women with our time, talents and resources. Each Camper will be asked to participate in at least one activity to support our charity fund which will be split equally between our Charity Partners.
To support our Charity Partners, Campers will be asked to choose to:
- Bring new items to “sell” in our on-site Camp Charity Bow-tique store
- Participate in optional on-site Personal Services that will have additional donation “fees” of a $30 donation
- Bring donated items to fulfill our charities’ specific wish lists (household items, clothing, toys, books, whatever our charities need); you can bring them to Camp or call the Partners
- Donate cash to meet the unrestricted needs of the charities
- Volunteer time to fulfill our charity specific needs on projects and for ongoing support
- Offer a matching gift for the total donated cash generated in association with the Camp
Hosted by Compass Bank
Where can you shop, buy the coolest giftables, jewelry, crafts and accessories AND support women and their families from our Partner Charities: Warren Village and Partners in Housing?
Well at the Camp Bow-tique of course! Our committee had the BIG IDEA that all of us can donate our “re-giftable” stuff (that purse that you never liked, those never-really-worked candle sticks from Aunt Susan, that jacket that is too big/small, you know…
the stuff in the re-gift
closet!) to our on-site Bow-tique. Then at Camp we will shop, with 100% of the sales donated to the Partner Charities.
All Campers will be asked to bring at least one Charity Bow-tique item to Camp. The Committee chairs “T & A” Tammy and Alissa, are also gathering the best cool stuff from the other Committee members and from around town…………so be ready for amazing finds and
FUN!
We will remind all Campers about bringing a donation to Camp or we are happy to collect it before we go. For more information about The Charity Bow-tique or to donate your stuff……..contact Alissa at gutincrow@aol.com or Tammy at Tammydenver@yahoo.com
