Women's Vision Foundation Mission: Our mission is to establish enlightened women as leaders in corporations. We do this by preparing women leaders who are catalysts for visionary, enlightened, and ethical leadership, resulting in corporate profitability, empowered employees, and responsible citizenship. Our Core Values:
Welcome to our unique corporate women's organization. Our members have at their fingertips a wide range of Leadership Programs, Networks, Resources and Volunteer Programs to leverage for managing and capturing their career goals. The Women's Vision Foundation is emerging as a nationally-recognized leader in information, education and support for corporate women. Its goal is the evolution of organizations for the benefit of all. The Foundation isn't just about equality. It's about what we can add synergistically to make our corporations better places for women and men to devote their lives. Currently, talented women are fleeing top jobs because they are burned out or tired of retrofitting into a predominately patriarchal system. Opening minds to the countless benefits women bring to corporations will open doors as well. Today's businesses are designed (structures, rewards, strategies, etc.) from a single perspective - the masculine. For women to be an effective and integral part of the corporate landscape, their perspectives need to be incorporated into the current structures.
Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce As the largest women’s chamber in the nation, the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce (CWCC) has more than 1600 members across the state. We help people achieve their business goals and connect women in business, and these services has made our organization continue to grow. Our programs cultivate business development, professional excellence and leadership and include: Mile High United Way: The Women's Initiative Mile High United Way focuses on what matters in the community. We support a wide variety of programs throughout the Denver metro area, but we focus our support around five key priority areas: School Readiness; Youth Success; Reducing Family, School, and Community Violence; Emergency Assistance; and Tools for Success. The Women’s Initiative is a powerful leadership network of women who strengthen our community through Mile High United Way with a focused investment of their time, talent and treasure. Our goals are to assist women to be confident philanthropists and demonstrate that Mile High United Way is an ideal way to get involved in our community, and, to help them unite with other women for greater community awareness and advocacy of women in philanthropy. The Women’s Initiative: Promotes women’s philanthropy by recognizing the philanthropic efforts of women in our community
The Women’s Foundation of Colorado Our Goal: The Foundation focuses its efforts in two areas: “Currently, our grant making strategy focuses on two areas: direct service support to assist the women impacted today, and economic public policy reform to create a better future. We believe that changes in public policy will have the greatest positive impact in assisting women in their efforts to achieve economic self-sufficiency.”
The mission of Pikes Peak United Way is to create sustainable community change throughout the Pikes Peak Region. We bring the public together to determine and prioritize critical human needs, and provide the leadership to mobilize resources to address those needs. We are a powerful force behind such local initiatives as the 2-1-1 Information and Referral (our 3-digit, free information service), Homeward Pikes Peak (addressing homeless issues in Colorado Springs), and Southern Colorado Make A Difference Day (bringing over 1200 volunteers together over a weekend to create significant improvement in people’s lives).
We focus our support in the areas of Helping Children and Families Succeed, Increasing Self-Sufficiency, and Improving Health and Wellness. Pikes Peak United Way is saving lives in these areas by funding agencies and programs crucial to the lives of women of all ages. Among a few of the organizations we support are, Partners in Housing; the Colorado Springs Child Nursery Center; T.E.S.S.A. (formerly the Center for Prevention of Domestic Violence); Child and Youth Development at the Urban League of the Pikes Peak Region; Community Partnership for Child Development (Headstart); InterCept and self-sufficiency programs at the Women’s Resource Agency.
Pikes Peak United Way recognizes that women create sustainable community change through their dedication to family, work and community, and philanthropic leadership. In perfect partnership with the mission of Pikes Peak United Way, we will be inviting women in the Pikes Peak Region to join us in making an even better difference in our community by embarking on our Women in Philanthropy initiative. We will create the opportunity for women to use their philanthropic strength to mobilize and focus on the critical issues that motivate and affect our community, while recognizing and honoring women who make a difference.
