Denver Rescue Mission Kick-off
Theme: Mission CampExperience
Saturday, April 18th, 2 pm – 4 pm at The Crossing
Currently, there are 85 children living at The Crossing, the transitional living facility for 500 men, women and children, run by Denver Rescue Mission. For this very special event, we can host 85 women to spend one-on-one time with our children, creating and completing a craft.
We believe the focus of Camp is that “everyone counts,” and the importance of personal growth. This kick-off event will show women that each child counts, just as they will at Camp. There are 40 kids ages 6-12 and 40 kids ages 12 – 18, so we plan to have two separate crafts. Both age groups will paint a terracotta pot and the younger children will fill with the pot with candy and the older children will pot a plant. They will then give these gifts as Mother’s Day presents.
Details and registration to follow. For more information contact Devany Serverin at dseverin@denrescue.org
